In this class, you'll learn to use a power rotary tool to carve sand ripples and heishi inlay. Carving safety and types of equipment will be discussed. This class is a learning tool designed to start you on the road to a variety of carving techniques; you will not complete the gourd in class.
Bring a power rotary tool (Dremel or other brand) and any carving accessories you have on hand. (Sutiable burs will be available from the instructor at class.) Bring a good quality dust mask or purchase one at class. Your class fee includes a gourd suitable for carving, handouts and some basic supplies.
